We can all see how totally barbarian, corrupted and distorted the arabs who practise terrorism are in their way of thinking. On day 414 the arabs dare to try to blame the Schalit family. The article in the Jerusalem Post today reads:

"The PRC blames captive IDF Cpl. Gilad Schalit's family [for not putting] enough pressure on the diplomatic echelon in Jerusalem to secure their son's release, Army Radio reported".

Further those who support the arab terrorist in the Old City on Friday are base, cynically calculating and depraved about the . The family of the terrorist tried to suggest that he was killed while on the ground implying that he was defenceless at the time. However pursuant to the Jerusalem Post which posted today on its website a video of the incident :

"the gunman was still shooting at the time he fell to the street, and the [security] guard acted professionally and appropriately in such a dangerous situation".

Where is the insight of our government showing that it 'gets it' .

It must be zman lmoshiach!

410 days ago today Gilad Shalit, Israeli corporal, was captured by the PRC, Hamas and the Army of Islam on Sunday 25 June 2006. Why are the government and media not advising the Israeli citizens of the number of days of his captivity every day? I will tell you why. The Olmert government released terrorists as a gesture and did not mention Gilad Shalit, Regev or Goldwasser. Where is the public outcry over this terrible institutional silence?

Hamas is building an army in Gaza. Meanwhile Syria is slowly but surely placing lots of long range missiles within harm's reach of every part of Israel. Any prudent government would advise its citizens to be prepared for the worst case scenario while guiding the country through intelligent policies for a peaceful outcome. Where is the information from the government on how and where to find protection from a long range missile attack? Where is your gas mask? This government prepares for a peaceful outcome while driving the country with reckless policies towards a different scenario (Hashem forbid).

Is the government ignoring reality. Where is the public outcry?

It must be zman l'moshiach!

Last Friday, I had a great insight from a Rabbi. He said that it is clear to him that the people in the present govenment (Is it comprised of the Erev Rav?)have lost their power of free will and Hashem is clearly running the show.

Pursuant to Shemot Chapter 10 verses 1 and 2 the following is said:
"The Lord said to Moses: Come to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart and the heart of his servants, in order that I may place these signs of Mine in his midst,
2. and in order that you tell into the ears of your son and your son's son how I made a mockery of the Egyptians, and [that you tell of] My signs that I placed in them, and you will know that I am the Lord."
(Translation from chabad.org) although I am not chabad.

It must be zman l'moshiach!

We are a people of belief and action.

In this week's parsha, Eikev, we read that the good land is of wheat, barley, vines, figtrees and pomegranites; a land of olive-oil and honeydates (Devarim 8:8). The first reference to "land" represents our spiritual love, and the second reference to "land" represents our physical love, for Eretz Yisrael.

Pursuant to Berachot 41b Rabbi Hamenuna taught Rabbi Hisda to say a blessing first over the (physical) date before a (spiritual) pomegranite because the date is closer to the second "land" than pomegranite is to the first "land" in Devarim 8:8 and it has preference. This shows how our physical and spiritual love for the land of Eretz Yisrael refines us. Rabbi Hisda exclaimed that we should have legs of iron to learn from Rabbi Hamenuna.

This teaches us also on a national level that in Israel we need to build up the physical aspects of the nation (legs of iron) in order to create spiritual strength for a brave national spirit.

Further in Devarim 8:10 we have the source for Birchat Hamazon, "When you eat and are satisfied you shall bless Hashem for the good Land that he gave you". This refers to the blessings over food, the land and the rebuilding of Yerushalayim. (Tov VeHameitiv was added by the Rabbis later). When we thank Hashem for our food we also thank Him for Eretz Yisrael. Accordingly when we say Birchat Hamazon we should be saying it in our Land and not be giving it to our enemies.

Shabbat shalom

It must be Zman L'moshiach!
From debka.com today I see the following article:

"DEBKAfile Exclusive: Olmert approves American plan for big new Palestinian town on West Bank

He did not submit the American plan to the cabinet, or even the security-political ministerial forum, before giving the go-ahead to the visiting US secretary of state, Condoleezza Rice, Wednesday night, Aug. 1.

DEBKA-Net-Weekly’s sources report that the new town site will encompass the Palestinian villages of Qabalan, Oseria and Qudela and straddle Trans-Samaria Highway 505 opposite Tapuach junction...It will cut off Israeli villages in the Jordan Valley from the settlement blocs in Samaria".

Do we have a dictator who hides from open democratic processes? Where is the public outcry?

Where is the display of strategic government thinking which is required to ensure that Israel remains strong in the face of serious threats from our enemies Iran , Syria, Hezbollah and Hamas.

Or is it zman l'moshiach?
